This Seminar was held on 12th July 2018 for the Engineers and Trainee Engineers attached to the Lanka Electricity Company, Colombo and it was held at the Auditorium of their head office.
The Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Limited is a private limited liability company registered under the Companies Act No. 17 of Sri Lanka for distribution of Electricity. At the inception in 1984, LECO commenced operation by taking over Distribution of electricity systems in Kotte Urban Council area to serve 12000 customers and it was done as a pilot project.
Thereafter, it was expanded to cover the Negombo, Moratuwa, Galle, Kelaniya and the coastal belt. LECO purchase energy from CEB & distribute to these areas.
Seminar was conducted by Mr. Geraint Evans, Managing Director of M/s. PBWEL of the United Kingdom.
It is hoped that the programme was beneficial and served in good stead for the participants.
