This was carried out on 13th July 2018, for the Engineers and Technicians attached to the Lakvijaya Power Station (Norochcholai) in Puttlam, Sri Lanka.
The Lakvijaya Power Station was the first Coal Powered plant in Sri Lanka with a capacity of generating 300 X 3 = 900 Megawatts. It was built by CMEC a private company owned by the Chinese Government and thereafter, it was transferred to the Ceylon Electricity Board in the year 2011. The total project cost was over US$ 1.5 Billion.
We thank the Deputy General Manager & the Engineers at the Lakvijaya Power Station for having given us the opportunity to conduct this programme in their Auditorium at the Power Plant premises in Puttlam.
At this event, the resource person was Mr. Geraint Evans, Managing Director of M/s. PBWEL of the United Kingdom.
