The annual Grade 5 Scholarship examination was held in the year 2018 in various educational zones under the provincial education director in the Central Province.
The Education Director of the Central Province in-charge of the Tamil section made a request to felicitate the Children who passed the Grade 5 Scholarship examination in the Central Province.
This request was taken into consideration and the matter was discussed with several business entrepreneurs and other philanthropists. The Kandy Tamil Traders Association, The Chief Founder Trustee – President of Central Province Hindu Association Kandy Trust Mr. D. Sivasubramaniyam and the Marlbo Trading Company jointly agreed to organize a function to felicitate the students.
The felicitation ceremony was held successfully at the Hindu Cultural Center, Peradeniya Road, Kandy.
