Vinayagar Sathurthi is a Hindu festival to celebrate the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of new beginnings. It is one of the most popular Hindu festivals, celebrated with great pomp and pageantry all over the world.
On this auspicious day, devotees of Lord Ganesha install idols of the god in their homes, offices and temples. They offer prayers to seek his blessings for success and prosperity in all their endeavors.
In order to celebrate the festival, at the invitation of Mr. Maniymuthu, the Priests from the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple in Tamil Nadu, India visited Sri Lanka and held the Maha Homam and Pooja at Marlbo office.
The staff members of Marlbo and other well wishers attended this religious event on this auspicious day and received blessings of Lord Ganesha.
