A Christmas & New Year function was held on 3rd December 2017, for the Differently abled Children attached to the School for the Deaf & Blind, Ratmalana in Sri Lanka. The function was organized by Marlbo Trading Company at the initiation of Mr. M. Maniymuthu.The intention to have organized this event was to encourage, motivate and to get them intermixed with the society at large. In this effort, we proved that we are with them whenever they are in need.At the invitation of Mr. M. Maniymuthu, the Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs, Hon. John Amarathunga, (MP Gampaha District) participated at this function as the Chief Guest.In addition to the support extended by the staff of Marlbo, a generous contribution was received from Mr. & Mrs. Rajendran attached to Doubletree by Hilton, Toronto, Canada. There were gifts for each & every student including the staff members of the school.At the end of the programme, a few gifts were symbolically given away by the Hon. Minister. During his speech the Hon. Minister enquired into the requirements of the school & requested for a list of items required.The school choir & the dancing group entertained the audience to a breathtaking performance.In conclusion, Mr. Maniymuthu thanked the Hon. Minister, the Principals and staff of both schools (Deaf & Blind) for having given this opportunity to be of assistance.
