In order to commemorate the International White Cane Day which fell on the 15th October 2019 around 350 visual impaired individuals, from various parts of the country gathered at the “Hyde Park” Colombo this morning.
On this occasion, at the request of the Secretary of Sri Lanka National Federation of the Visually Handicapped, Breakfast was served to all of them, sponsored by Mr. M. Maniymuthu Proprietor of Marlbo Trading Company. After breakfast the crowed joined a walk from Hyde Park to the Colombo Public Library Auditorium where they had a commemorative session of the White Cane Day.
